On the 21st of January EASL attended the virtual BEN Nuclear Development Conference. The event was mainly focused on the importance of nuclear energy to the UK’s future power supply requirements.
It was great to get the latest updates on key projects in civil nuclear such as Sizewell C, SMR from Rolls-Royce, Sellafield Ltd, UKAEA, HITACHI, and HPC, among others.
This event covered a wide range of topics on how Nuclear Power stations enable innovation in terms of nuclear technologies, moving forwards with new-build station development and the economic benefits that this nuclear revolution will have in society and the economy.
The conference gave us an opportunity to expand our network, connect with others and keep up to date with the developments within the industry. It also gave us a chance to assess our capabilities and to ensure that we have the required skills and experience to continue supporting the civil nuclear sector for another 30 years and beyond.
